JOIN POLYETHYLENE PLASTIC PIPELINES USING ELECTROFUSION WELDING

PLACES AVAILABLE: 08SYDNEYENROL NOW

OVERVIEW: PMBWELD302E

PMBWELD302E – join polyethylene plastic pipe using electrofusion – offers a gateway to gaining the practical skills, technical confidence, and industry-ready knowledge needed to perform electrofusion to specification with a special focus on fire mains systems. This course is designed for individuals working in pipeline construction, maintenance and fabrication who are ready to take the next step in their professional capability. You’ll learn the fundamentals of welding equipment, materials, and safety, along with hands-on techniques required to produce high-quality welds that meet Australian standards.

Across the program, you’ll be guided by experienced trainers who bring real-world insight from the field, ensuring practical and relevant training that is aligned with current industry expectations. By the end of the course, you’ll not only understand the “how” of poly welding, but also the “why” – why precision matters, why safety is paramount and why skilled welders are vital to Australia’s essential pipeline networks.

The course has an online theory module which takes 1-3 hours, depending on your familiarity with the electrofusion process.

The module is made up of a range of videos and multi-choice questions which cover best practice steps and must be completed prior to the face-to-face training session.

The face-to-face training is conducted at Seven Hills, Western Sydney.

The session runs for approximately 4 hours. Students get to perform three welds and practice the correct use of the latest in electrofusion tooling.
