PMBWELD301E + PMBWELD302E teaches installers best practice methods for butt welding and electrofusion jointing of PE pipe.
The course has two online theory modules followed by 10 hrs of remote workplace assessment.
These nationally accredited unit of competency is mandatory for professionals in pipeline construction for gas, plumbing and civil infrastructure to enable them to create strong, reliable, and high-quality welds that meet industry standards.

Installers who need to renew their accreditation will refresh correct welding methods, and how to set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment safely and efficiently. This includes butt welding, electrofusion welding, extrusion welding, and other methods required to meet job specifications.
Learners develop the ability to read and follow technical drawings, plans, and work requirements to ensure welds meet structural, functional, and regulatory criteria.
Students are taught how to inspect welds visually, perform basic testing, identify defects, and take corrective action to ensure the weld’s integrity and compliance with workplace or industry standards.
